"Germany South of the Mayne". A very detailed folio sheet of Germany, early 19th century engraved map, with countless place names, and details not normally encountered on maps of this region. Much more detailed than the photograph reveals.
From the very scarce 1821 variant issue of this elephant folio atlas.
On an c. 28 1/2 " W x 21 1/4 " H sheet, (image size is c. 23 1/4"W x 19 3/4"H). In Good+ condition, with a hint of light, barely noticeable dampstaining across the bottom region, a bit of very light offsetting, which has a minimal visual impact, but overall a n acceptable and pleasing example. Original strong full hand color. A nice example of this large detailed and scarce engraved map.
