A scarce 18th century costume plate depicting natives of the Larron islands and Indian Brahmins. A child sits nursing at the breast of the seated Negro woman, a man in a loincloth seated beside her. A finely detailed, most remarkable view of what were distant lands at this date.
On an c. 3 3/4 " W x 6 1/4 " H sheet, (image size is c. 3 " W x 4 3/4 " H). near excellent condition with beautiful hand color.
