"Hodiernae Belgicae sive Germaniae Inferioris Tabula", issued 1711, London by Cluver for a very scarce geographical atlas/historical gazeteer. A wonderful early 18th century engraved map of Holland, Belgium and Germany, with a wonderful elaborate title cartouche at top right which features a large assemblage of figures including Neptune, a warrior, Apollo, robed women, etc. A detailed scholarly description of this European region for this date. As typical, tiny cathedral symbols denote important cities and towns. Beautifully hand colored, with a charming 18th century quaint feel about the engraving style. In near excellent antiquarian condition on a c. 8 7/8 " H x 10 7/8 " W sheet, image area c. 8 " H x 10 " W with original center fold as issued (in no way detracting). A perfect decorative antique map to frame and display. Ordering: Please use the Buy Me button below, or phone the shop to order this map.
