A scarce and very interesting little map of this New England state, greatly enhanced visually by the expert full hand color. Likely printed by the short-lived cerographic method, from a very scarce geographical grammar printed in NYC in 1853 by this important cartographic publisher. (see Tooley- "Dict. of Mapmakers")
In near excellent antiquarian condition on a c. 8 7/8" H. by 5 5/8 W. sheet, with the image measuring 5 5/8" H. by 4 3/4" W.
