New Hampshire 1853 by Ensign, Bridgman and Fanning
A scarce and very interesting little map of this New England state, greatly enhanced visually by the expert full hand color. Likely printed by the short-lived cerographic method, from a very scarce geographical grammar printed in NYC in 1853 by this important cartographic publisher. (see Tooley- "Dict. of Mapmakers") In excellent, clean antiquarian condition with attractive full hand color. On a c. 5 1/2 ” W x 9 ” H sheet (engraved image size is 4 3/4 " x 8 1/4 ").
