A fine 17th century map of the coast of Greenland and North America by A.M. Mallet. Mallet was a well traveled military engineer and geographer who worked in 17th century Paris under King Louis XIV. From his monumental "Description de L'Univers". With a decorative title banner and two tall masted sailing ships. Note: to see available close-ups of this picture, click on the area you wish to see.
