A fine map of the World in Spheres by the great German cartographer Herman Moll. Based upon the information which was most current at that date. Of particular note is California as an island, the upper coast of America and Canada left undefined. A nice inset sphere of North Pole atop the two Hemispheres. Australia's coast is also left undefined, as is Japan's and Russia's.

In excellent, clean antiquarian condition, with beautiful full hand color. On a c. 14 1/2 ” W x 9 ” H sheet.
