A charming 18th century miniature map of North America, issued by Louis-Charles Desnos (1725-1805), the Parisian mapmaker, globemaker, and publisher who was also Geographical engineer to the King of Denmark. A delightful depiction of the country with various historical notes scattered about, and original full hand color.   

Excellent, clean antiquarian condition (a couple of tiny age spots above Hudson Bay) with original center-fold as issued.  On a c.  4 1/8 ” W x  4 1/2 ” H sheet.
