A fine 19th century red full leather binding. Smooth spine in patterned gilt ruled compartments with central gilt devices. Boards ruled in lovely patterned gilt; top board suffers a few minor bumps to the edge. Leather is smooth and supple; gilt bright. Small wormhole on the front joint is hardly worth mentioning. Binding tight and sound. a.e.g.
Mostly clean internally. Old inscription on reverse of f.f.e. Text in Latin. Marbled endpapers.
In near fine, clean condition. A lovely binding.
Book measures c. 4 1/4" x 6 1/4". 96 pp.
