A handsome six volume set of mid- to late 19th century period half leather bindings. Decorative spines in six compartments with gilt titles on contrasting red and black leather labels, raised bands; leather rubbed with some labels chipped. Half leather and marbled paper covered boards exhibit some wear. Joint leather rubbed with on joint cracked at head (but this is quite minor). Bindings tight and sound. Marbled edges.
Mostly very clean internally with engraved plates. Marbled endpapers match boards. Bookplate on inside front boards "George de Benneville Keim" is the grandson of Universalist minister George de Benneville.
In Good+ to VG condition, overall. A handsome set. Rare to find as a complete set of six.
Books measure c. 5 3/4" x 8".
