A lovely early 19th century half green leather fine binding. Ornately gilt spine in six compartments with gilt title and raised bands. Half leather and green marbled paper covered boards are ruled in gilt. Binding is tight, sound and very clean with minimal wear. t.e.g.
Internally foxed. Two steel engraved plates: frontis and half title page with vignette. Frontis depicts "Je la regarde / c' etait Suzette". Charming marbled endpapers.
In VG+ clean condition. Attractive fine binding with an appealing shelf appearance. Scarce, indeed.
Book measures c. 3 1/2" x 5". 215 pp.
