An appealing four volume set of mid-19th century black quarter leather bindings. Spines in five gilt-ruled compartments with gilt title; leather a bit chewed at the tail of volume three, otherwise, spines exhibit light shelfwear, leather dry. Marbled paper covered boards are somewhat sunned at extremities. Mostly clean internally with very light, very scattered foxing. A few scattered stamps throughout the volumes,
"Bibliotheque / Dee Peres Dominicans / Lewiston, Maine", as only indications of former ownership. Text in French. Marbled endpapers.
In VG to VG+ condition. Nice shelf appearance.
Books measure c. 4 7/8" x 7 1/8".
