Eight handsome volumes from Washington Irving in fine leather bindings.  They include: 

"A History of New York by Diedrich Knickerbocker", "The Sketch-Book of Geoffrey Crayon", "Bracebridge Hall, or The Humorists", "The Life of Washington in Five Volumes" (volumes one and three present here), "The Crayon Miscellany", "Chronicle of the Conquest of Granada" and volume two of "Mahomet and His Successors. In Two Volumes". 

Eight mid-19th century fine leather bindings. Ornately gilt spines in five compartments with slightly raised bands. Lacks some of the leather spine labels. Overall, bindings are gently rubbed with some edge-wear. Bindings tight and sound. Marbled edges. Mostly clean internally. Each volume with two steel engraved plates (Granada has one plate, as issued); all plates shown. 

In VG condition, overall. An attractive set of eight volumes of Washington Irving in fine leather. 

Books measure c. 5 3/8" x 7 3/4".
