A fine two volume set of mid-19th century half leather bindings. Highly appealing shelf appearance: spines in six compartments with central gilt devices and gilt titles. Half leather and marbled paper covered boards are ruled in gilt, gently rubbed. Bindings tight and sound. t.e.g.
Mostly clean internally with light foxing confined to the first and last few pages. Lovely marbled endpapers.
In near fine, clean condition. An attractive 19th century set of fine leather bindings.
Books measure c. 5 3/4" x 8 1/4". 315 pp in each.
