A mid- late 19th century period green publisher's cloth. Smooth spine with gilt title. Top board embossed in black. Cloth gently worn, chipped at extremities. Binding tight and sound.
Mostly clean internally. Profusely illustrated with text illustrations and double page engravings. We count eighteen double page engraved sheets, one of which is detached. Fifty-five illustrations, in all, according to the annex bound at rear. Appears complete.
In Good+ to VG condition, overall. A scarce and highly desirable travel / tourist guide to the Pacific West.
