Early 19th century full leather binding. Smooth spine in six gilt-ruled compartments; gilt title on contrasting red leather label; spine chipped at head. Leather, overall, smooth and supple with minor extremity wear. Binding tight and sound.
Internally foxed & soiled from browsing. Woodcut illustrations throughout. Pencil markings on endpapers on one of the text pages. Some pages exhibit chipped margins.
Overall, in VG- condition. Issues have a highly religious slant with talk of Christian Indians and their conversion.
Appears to be 12 monthly issues of this rare juvenile title.
Book measures c. 3 7/8" x 6". 288 pp.
