A mid-19th century period 1/2 leather binding. Ornately gilt spine w/ gilt title, old paper spine label, leather somewhat dry and cracked. Half leather and marbled paper covered boards exhibit moderate wear and soiling. Binding tight and sound.
Contains 12 fine steel engraved plates w/ tissue guards. These depict the Spanish houses at Ghent; Town Hall,
Louvain; Town Hall, Ypres; St. Michael's Church, Ghent; View of the Canal, Bruges; Citadel of
Namur; Huy-River Neuse; View of the Meuse, near Namur; Town Hall, Brussels; Park & Palace at Brussels; Town Hall, Ghent; and the Court of the Palace of the Prince Bishop of
Leige. Engravings lightly foxed w/ a light bit of staining in the margin. Old inscription on title page. Front hinge cracked.
In VG condition.
