Exceptionally clean and bright example of this nice mid-19th century green publisher's cloth. Ornate gilt pictorial spine w/ title depicts Washington on horseback; gilt and spine cloth gently rubbed. Boards stamped in blind w/ central shield (?) logo. Binding sound and firm. 

Engraved frontis and half title. Frontispiece shows Washington as a boy playing army w/ several other boys. Vignette half title page depicts Washington on horseback. Light, very scattered foxing; pages a bit stiffened. Lacks f.f.e; last endpapers suffers short tear. 

In VG clean condition. 

Book measures 5" x 7." 321 pp.
