An attractive early to mid-19th century period red full leather binding. Smooth spine w/ gilt title and date. Boards identically
blind tooled in rule w/ central gilt device. Leather, overall, smooth and supple w/ light
edge wear. Binding tight and sound. a.e.g.
Complete w/ twenty-one fine steel engraved plates including half title page vignette. Tissue guards present. Old, lightly penciled signature on
f.f.e. Rear hinge cracked.
In VG to VG+ clean condition. An appealing 19th century signed red leather binding,
"F. Westley / Binder...".
Book measures 5 1/4" x 8". 256 pp.
