A mid-19th century two volume set in period blue/black 1/2 leather binding. Spines in six compartments w/ raised bands; spines
re-backed; leather rubbed. Half leather and blue/black cloth boards are ruled in patterned gilt, gently rubbed. Bindings now tight and sound. a.e.g.
Light scattered foxing internally w/ an engraved map and dozens of fine steel engraved plates. We count
121 steel engraved Bartlett illustrations. Collated. Volume one is complete, volume 2 lacks two plates. Appears that volume two is lacking "Cove Harbour" and "Dubin Bay, from Kingstown Quarries". Marbled endpapers.
In VG+ clean condition. A nice set in leather.
Books measure 9" x 11".
