A gorgeous late 19th / early 20th century hardwood binding. Leather spine is ornately tooled in blind w/ title and floral devices, made to resemble wood. Real wooden
beveled boards - hardwood has been embossed on the front in red, white, gray and black w/ "Jerusalem" and Hebrew. Marbled edges.
Title page printed in green. Eleven pages of flowers from Jerusalem pasted in designs w/ the names of the flowers in English, German and French. All pages are shown in our photographs. Floral endpapers; front endpapers have been pasted over w/ paper (we are unsure of the reason - could have been an envelope to store loose flowers).
A wonderful collection of flowers from the Holy Land. Scarce.
Oblong book measures c. 6 3/4" x 4 1/4". 11 pp.
