A two volume set of mid-19th century publisher's period green cloth bindings. Smooth spines w/ gilt title and large gilt family coat of arms; spine cloth stained near tails. Boards are
blind tooled in rule. Bindings sound.
Light, very scattered age-toning throughout text blocks. Sixteen steel engraved portraits w/ tissue guards. Scattered pencil notations in margins. Pages are a bit stiffened.
In VG to VG+ condition. Books measure c. 6 1/4" x 8 3/4". 588 / 548 pp + ads.
