A finely bound late 19th century three-quarter morocco leather binding. Ornately gilt spine in six compartments, gilt title and author, raised bands. Half leather and marbled paper covered boards are, overall, very clean w/ minimal shelf wear. Binding tight and sound. Deckled edges. 

Internally clean. This unique collection of chapters from 'Harper's New Monthly Magazine' actually precedes the release of the first American edition. It is, as described in the title, a collection of the eight chapters as they were when published in Harper's Magazine. As shown in the images, several of the pages are pastedown articles and advertisements concerning the books publication. Also includes an original poster and Harper's wraps bound at rear w/ "The Comparative 'Trilby' Glossary. French-English by James Schonberg" which was published in 1895. The creator of this bound work even pasted header illustrations. Marbled endpapers. 

In near fine, clean condition. An unusual and rare collection of this Du Maurier novel in a deluxe custom crushed morocco binding. A one of a kind scrapbook / novel. Book measures c. 7 1/2" x 10 1/4".
