fine four volume set of 19th century black half leather bindings. Ornately
gilt spines in six compartments w/ gilt titles; leather chipped at head of a
couple of volumes and along raised bands in spots - a highly appealing shelf
appearance. Half leather and marbled paper covered boards are ruled in gilt,
minor wear. Bindings tight and sound. t.e.g. Mostly
clean internally. Pages are just slightly stiffened (hardly worth mentioning as
this occurs over time on this vintage paper). Bookplates "James C. Peasley."
Marbled endpapers. In
VG+ condition. An appealing set of 19th century fine leather bindings. Books
