Massive
original full red morocco with gilt lettering and ornate floral gilt
decoration on both boards and spine. Binding displays a bit of light age wear
and rubbing in places overall, but really is very appealing visually.
Binding sound. a.e.g.
Internally
clean w/ several woodcut images and illuminated lettering. Printed in
black and red throughout w/ text set within red block. Original leather tabs
remain in place. A few pages exhibit old repairs, first signature reattached w/
old green binding tape. Hinges cracked. Lacks front endpaper.
Well
over 700 pages, a massive, heavy volume. Folio book measures 12 1/2" H x 9
1/2" W. In VG+ condition. Appears to be quite an uncommon book.
