charming late 19th century blue leather prize binding. Ornate gilt spine
in six compartments w/ gilt title on contrasting leather label; a very
attractive shelf appearance, leather exhibits just slight chipping to head of
spine. Boards are ruled in gilt, central gilt logo on top board "
Mostly
very clean internally w/ illustrations. Frontis, with tissue guard, depicts
'Alone stood brave Horatius.' Marbled endpapers.
In
VG+ condition, an attractive blue full leather prize binding. Book
measures c. 5 1/2" x 7 1/2". 191 pp.
