An
early 19th century full leather binding. Smooth spine in six gilt-ruled
compartments, gilt title on red contrasting leather label. Leather, overall,
smooth and supple, gently worn along binding extremities. Front joint
cracked at tail. A sound example w/ first couple of signatures slightly shaken.
Mostly
clean internally w/ three copper engraved plates bound throughout. Six
books complete in one volume. Also contains "Tirocinium; or, A Review
of Schools" bound at rear.
In
VG to VG+ condition. Classic epic poem by Cowper bound in period leather
w/ copper engravings. Book measures 3 5/8" x 5
3/4." 254 pp.
