Massive heavy three volume set in period full leather publishers bindings, gilt title on front boards and spines, raised bands in six compartments, profusely illustrated with hundreds of wood engraved views throughout text by Harry Fenn, Birket Foster, E. George, L. J. Wood, J. D. Woodward. C. Werner, E. Compton, S. Hodson, W. Simpson. P. Skeleton and others., including 63 original steel engravings printed on heavy stock paper.
In VG++ condition, only gently worn, bindings sound, hinges tight, internally mostly very clean with just a touch of minor light foxing in some margins. Only minimal light scuffing to bindings. An attractive looking set indeed.
Each volume measures c. 10 1/2" W x 13" H. volume 1: 488 pages, volume 2:460 pages, volume 3: 491 pages.

A very nice example of this set, complete and clean in a nice period leather binding.
