1920's contemporary fine bindings. Published in "Elle
et Lui" 1929 by George Sand. 248 pp "Chronique
du XXe Siecle Bouddha Vivant" 1928 by Paul Morand. 245 pp. "Le
Medecin des Dames de Neans" 1926 by Rene Boylesve. 298 pp. "Mademoiselle
Cloque" 1927 by Rene Boylesve. 350 pp. "Dans
L'Ombre de la Cathedrale. Roman Traduit de L'Espagnol par G.Herelle" 1929
by V.Blasco Ibanez. 289 pp. Five
handsome gilt three-quarter leather bindings. Spines in six compartments w/ gilt
title and raised bands. Great shelf appearance. Three-quarter leather boards
with marbled paper - the paper is shimmery in green and gold; boards are fresh,
bright and clean with virtually no flaws. Bindings are tight and sound. t.e.g.,
other edges deckled. Text
blocks are mostly very clean w/ very scattered light foxing. Appears to include
the original paper wraps that were issued w/ the books prior to binding. Text in
French. Bookplate on inside front board, "Albert N. Connett Jr.".
Lovely marbled endpapers in green. In
