By Georges Cain Conservateur "Musee Carnavalet et des Collections historiques de la Ville de Paris."

A handsome early 20th century period half leather binding.  Attractive and bright gilt-tooled smooth spine.  Quarter leather and marbled paper covered boards are ruled in gilt, most fresh and clean, corners rubbed.  Joint leather gently rubbed in a couple of spots.  Binding sound w/ a couple of signatures just very slightly shaken. t.e.g.

Mostly clean internally w/ a profusion of lithographed plates.  Lithographed frontis depicts the "Rue du Chaume en 1866."   Illustrations include full-page views of Paris, many after photos, paintings, and drawings.

In VG+ to near fine condition with only minor gentle wear, internally clean.  Appears to be a scarce artistic, cultural and historical study of Paris France.

Book measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/4."  335 pp.
