Works of James Russell Lowell - 1893
Two volume set, period 1/2 leather bindings. Heavily gilt spines w/ gilt title; leather rubbed in a couple of places but the shelf appearance remains quite appealing, gilt bright. Front joint leather gently rubbed along on volume. Bindings tight and sound. t.e.g. Mostly very clean internally w/ engraved portrait of the artist in volume one. These two volumes are part of a larger ten volume set of the complete works of Lowell. Volume one has a half title page indicating that this is volume seven but the full title page (and the binding) indicate that this is, indeed, volume one. "Volume One" is Lowell's earlier poems while the second volume are literary essays. Marbled endpapers. In VG+ condition - a lovely set of Lowell's works. Two volumes part of a larger set, complete in themselves. Books measure c. 5 3/8" x 8." 312/ 398 pp. Ordering: Please use the Buy Me button below, or phone the shop to order this map.
