Brown publisher's cloth. Gilt title on front board and spine. Spine slightly sunned. Binding tight, sound and very clean.
Mostly clean internally w/ several woodcuts and two folding maps. Folding maps depicts the "Vicinity of Boston. Engraved for the Boston Guide Book." and "Map of Boston, 1872. With all the latest improvements. A complete guide to strangers, giving the distances from the City Hall in 1/4 mile circles showing distinctly the hotels, public buildings, steam & horse rail roads, ward boundaries, & places of amusement." Latter map torn along fold line but this is easily repairable with a little archival tape.
In VG+ condition to near fine condition. A splendid clean example of this scarce Boston guide.
Measures 5" x 7." Folding maps measure c. 11 5/8" x 10" and 14 1/2" x 9 3/4." 293 pp.
