Original full leather binding, boards worn, spine title labels present but spine leather mottled (as often seen since this type of calf binding does not age well and is often found quite fragile and worn). Lacks front free endpapers. No map is present (as typical), but all the illustrations called for seem to be here (wood engravings and a full page steel engraving of New London Institution). Large "X" in pencil on front board. Still a sturdy binding, not fragile or weak.
Book measures 6 1/4"W x 9 3/8"H.
674 pp.
Good book for someone interested in the history of NH. A much used example but still perfectly worthy of owning.
