Published:

 Dordrecht,  1758

Unpaginated, approximately 1000+ pp.

A mid-18th century period full leather binding. Spine w/ five raised bands and endbands, leather gently worn and peeling from the text at the head band.  Boards are mostly clean with minimal soiling and wear - the leather is very smooth and hard (like plastic).  Marks from clasps on the board edges but the clasps are detached and missing. Rear board detached, front board nearly.

Text block exhibits a uniform age-toning w/ a fantastic copper engraved title page. Nautical scene at bottom of the title page depicts sailing ships outside of a port city and emblem at bottom, "Eendracht Maakt Macht."  Includes the Psalter and many songs with music by Cornelis de Leeuw.  First few endpapers are tattered and last few pages are missing - we are not sure how much of the text is missing (if any). Several pages throughout are torn and one page is missing.

A RARE mid-18th century New Testament in Dutch in a full leather binding.

Book measures c. 5 3/4" H x 3 1/4" W x 2" deep.
