Color frontis depicting "Portion of the Nancy Sheet of the New Carte de France as published by the Service Geographique de l'Armee." Several b&w text and full page illustrations, two (plus frontis) in color. Includes a two page pamphlet, "Conventional Map Signs British and French, January 1918. Printed by U.S. Geological Survey." Contains a large folding map at rear.
In VG+ to near fine mostly clean condition. Stated first edition w/ folding map.
Book measures c. 6 1/4" x 9 1/4". Large folding map measure c. 20" x 25".
