History of Christianity - 1840
A three volume set of mid-19th century period hardcover bindings. Title labels on cloth (binding tape on one spine) spines, old labels chipped and cloth chipping from spine head and tail. Volume one spine has been replaced with a heavy archival tape which also keeps the once detached front board in place. Boards rubbed edges and corners worn. Bindings sound. Deckled edges. Mostly clean internally with a uniform light age-toning around the page edges - a lovely golden patina. Light pencil notations present, mainly confined to the inside rear boards. Previous owner's stamp on f.f.e, "Arthur Holland". A complete mid-19th century three volume set on the history of Christianity. In original board binding - perfect for rebacking. Books measure c. 5 7/8" W x 9 1/8" H. Volume 1, 460 pp; volume 2, 481 pp; volume 3, 592 pp. Ordering: Please use the Buy Me button below, or phone the shop to order this map.
