A timeless love story bound in period publishers 3/4 leather spine and paper covered boards. Gilt rule on leather spine; spine chipped at head and tail, gilt rule gently rubbed. Boards chipped and peeling at edges; front board loose, nearly detached. Quite worn externally as seen.
Text is age-toned and exhibits foxing with a few minor tears and watermarks on pages but nothing that interferes with the text; frontis depicts wood engraving of Paul and Virginia under a tree with the caption, "How can you find so many reasons for your departure, and not one that may induce you to stay among us?"
Despite the obvious age-wear, a scarce imprint of this story of love's eternal forces.
