Holy Bible - 1833
Stereotyped by L. Johnson. An early to mid-19th century period full dark green leather binding. Spine in five compartments with gilt ruled raised bands, gilt title. Gilt-ruled boards, corners bumped. Leather is, overall, rubbed and scuffed but remains smooth and supple. Binding is tight and sound. Text block is mostly clean with light foxing confined to the first and last few pages. New Testament has full title page. Family history pages are blank. In VG+ condition. A nice example of an early 19th century family bible in full leather. Book measures c. 6 3/4" x 10 1/4".
