An early 19th century Portsmouth, New Hampshire imprint bound in period leather. Smooth spine in six gilt-ruled compartments with gilt title on contrasting red leather label; leather chipped at spine bottom to band and gently worn at spine extremities. Boards are supple and smooth with edgewear. Rear joint cracked at bottom, top board nearly detached. Binding and text block are tight. Light age-toning and light staining to first and last few pages.

Overall, a nice example of this uncommon 19th century New Hampshire imprint in full calf, in VG antiquarian condition. Appears to be a RARE edition.

Book measures c. 4 1/2" x 7 1/8".
