A handsome early 19th century period full red leather binding with leather clasp. Leather binding is in one piece that wraps around the small book and fastens; the leather is gently worn and slightly chipped along the joint ends - appears to have been well-loved and much-used as it fits right into a shirt pocket. Binding tight and sound. a.e.g.
Text block mostly very clean and tight, light, scattered foxing throughout. Lovely marbled endpapers, f.f.e. missing. No ownership markings.
Overall, a charming example of this early 19th century full red leather travel binding. Uncommon to find this type of binding still intact.
Measures c. 4 1/4" H x 2 3/4".
