A mid-19th century bound volume in period half black leather binding. Gilt title and year on spine with gilt raised bands. Gilt-ruled half leather boards exhibit gently rubbing and minor edgewear, overall, a nicely preserved. Front joint slightly cracked at head, leather gently rubbed along both joints. Binding tight and sound. Mostly clean internally with 16 brightly hand colored plates and numerous b&w plates and engravings throughout. Charming plates and engravings depict women's fashion of the 1850's. Overall, a lovely example of this scarce mid-19th century women's periodical.
