A gorgeous complete six volume set in fine decorative period 1/2 leather bindings of . Spines with gilt titles and elaborately gilt-tooled spine compartments, raised bands. t.e.g., engraved frontis. Was once in a Dutch library, but with no markings or pockets- only a rubber stamp on the title pages and an attractive small book plate to the front paste-downs (Univ. of Amsterdam).
In VG+ to near fine, clean condition. A scarce, well bound and substantial feeling set . You'll note our opening bid represents less than a mere $30/ volume, perhaps 1/3 to 1/4 what it would cost to bind a set thus. Each volume measures 5" x 7 1/2." Due to weight, will run c. $10 to ship within the US insured via UPS.
