Bound in period 3/4 leather. Spines with gilt ruled raised bands, gilt titles. Bindings gently worn, front board of volume 1 detached, both text blocks still tight. With an astounding profusion of finely engraved plates, all with decorative borders, each depicting an historical Biblical scene. Mostly minor and light scattered foxing to the plates, but still immensely pleasurable to browse through.
Books measure c. 7" H x 5 1/4".
