American Class Book - 1815
An early 19th century period full calf binding. Smooth spine in four gilt-ruled compartments, gilt rubbed. Overall, leather worn and boards exhibit edgewear. Front board detached. Binding tight. Text block suffers light dampstaining at the bottom of the first few pages, age-toning and light foxing throughout. A couple of the pages are torn in the margins but nothing that interferes with the text itself. Previous owner's inscriptions on the first couple of free endpapers: "John Burtsani (?) - May 14, 1821". In all, a well-used early 19th century school text; a timely collection of charming moral, science and reading lessons. Book measures c. 4 3/8" W x 7 3/8" H. 314 pp. Ordering: Please use the Buy Me button below, or phone the shop to order this map.
