An attractive early/mid 19th century period half leather binding with marbled boards. Spine has gilt title on contrasting black label and gilt-ruled raised bands, leather rubbed at spots. Boards are bright and exhibit only minor edgewear, leather slightly rubbed. Binding tight and sound.
Mostly clean internally with numerous charming engravings throughout the text. A few scattered pencil annotations are observed, easily erased if desired.
In all, this early 19th century edition shows a very nice shelf appearance and is in quite a nice state of preservation.
Book measures c. 6 5/8" H x 4 3/8".
