Early full vellum binding, title hand lettered on spine by an early hand (likely at the bindery). Text block sound and tight, binding firm and tight. Appears to be a scarce mid-18th century scholarly Latin commentary on the New Testament, with extensive detailed notes and observations. Massive index at rear.
VG to VG+ condition overall, some gentle age wear and slight bowing of the vellum boards as typical for books bound thus of this vintage. A completely acceptable example of this scarce volume.
Book measures c. 8 " H x 5 " W.
It appears the author is: Palairet, Elias (1713-1765), an English Philologen.
