The Second Edition.

An early 19th century period full leather binding which is heavily worn. Gilt title on red contrasting title label, six gilt-ruled compartments on smooth spine; leather worn with leather loss at spine head and tail, but title label remains bright despite the wear. Boards rubbed and leather worn at board extremities. Front board nearly detached, rear joint cracked at head and tail. Text block tight and sound. Pages exhibit scattered foxing, heavier foxing and age-toning on endpapers.

An uncommon early 19th century book relating to So. America. 

Book measures c. 4 1/2" W x 7 3/8" H. 312 pp.
