Series 3, Number 2. New York, nd. c. 1830; American Tract Society: 16 pp. A charming miniature early 19th century chapbook in the original peach colored pictorial wraps. Printed front cover with a central scene of two boys playing with a kite; rear wrap lists the American Tract Society's books in series 3. Wraps slightly loosened from text block but still firmly attached by the original binding string; binding is tight and sound. Mostly clean internally, only minimal light scattered foxing, one full page woodcut and numerous smaller woodcut illustrations throughout the text. In all, a very charming and remarkably well preserved early 19th century illustrated juvenile book. Book measures c. 2 3/4" W x 4 1/4" H.
