Original mid-19th century newspaper extracted from a larger bound volume. Mostly clean example, no real faults to speak of. This was the official publication of the Latter Day Saints Church in London for many years. Articles in this scarce issue include: "Tour of President Young and Suite", which describes the Mormons travels in America heading toward Salt Lake City. Discusses their encounter with Indians, etc.
Also includes, "Epistle - To the Saints Scattered Abroad through the Eastern States", the poem "Wanted for the Kanesville Museum", "Extract from the History of Marriage Among the Jews", and a census for US, Britian & Ireland, Scotland and Ireland showing changes from 1841 to 1851.
A scarce contemporary item indeed relating to Mormons in the middle of the 19th century.
