2 volumes bound as one, complete thus.  An early 19th century period full leather binding. Smooth spine in three heavily gilt-ruled compartments, gilt title in central compartment flanked by central gilt device in other two. Leather worn down the spine. Boards exhibit minimal wear, mostly at board corners. Mostly clean internally, mild dampstaining throughout but nothing that interferes with the text or is offensive- heavier dampstaining to endpapers as seen in photo of title page.

Frontis depicts "Battle between the Crusaders and the Infidels." Many (dozens) charming 1/2 page woodcuts throughout these two volumes bound in one. In all, a historically relevant and thorough text in a sound binding.

Book measures c. 4 3/4" W x 8" H.
